Choose the named layout
Vdara separates a Studio with a kitchenette from the Vdara Suite with a separate bedroom and full kitchen. Signature separates Deluxe kitchenettes from one-bedroom full kitchens. At Platinum, Solitaire and Princess have one bedroom; Marquise has two.
A suite label is only the start
Elara Studios have a kitchenette. For cooking a full meal, check the appliance list of the category you book. At Las Vegas Marriott, choose between King and 2 Queen suites, then confirm bedroom separation if a closing door is essential. Keep any requested tower, floor or outlook distinct from a guaranteed booked feature.
Take a short list to the booking page
Write down the beds, privacy, cooking equipment and laundry you need. Compare those features before room size. If the description does not settle a requirement, ask the property about the exact category before paying.
Start with the room’s job
Write a short brief for your own stay before opening a room grid. Name the people sharing the booking, the nights, the sleeping arrangements you need and the time you expect to spend in the room. A couple attending one evening event may value a simple return journey. Friends sharing a longer stay may care more about separate sleeping space. Treat those as different briefs, even when the same hotel appears on both shortlists.
Use the suites and towers guide to organize the decision, then compare the exact categories on an official property page. The hotel guides compare the bedroom, kitchen and location choices. A room label is a starting point for inspection; a label alone does not establish a separate bedroom, a particular kitchen or a guaranteed view.
Check the sleeping plan first
Record the stated beds and maximum occupancy for the selected category. If your plan uses a sofa bed, verify that the category includes one and that your party fits its stated occupancy. Do not substitute a photograph of a different category or assume that a request for another bed will be fulfilled.
For a separate bedroom requirement, look for an explicit description and the floor plan when the hotel supplies one. Note the position of the bathroom and the route from the living area. A useful layout for one group may be awkward for another if a person sleeping in the living area must cross a bedroom to reach the bathroom. Mark details that the available plan does not answer as unknown.
Compare accessible categories using their own descriptions. Keep the features you require in the booking note rather than assuming the general room description applies. Confirm unresolved requirements directly with the property before committing to a rate.
Translate “kitchen” into a shopping plan
List the actual appliances described for the category: refrigeration, a microwave, cooking facilities and dishwashing facilities if relevant. Then check the smaller practical details you need, such as cookware, dishes and whether any equipment must be requested. Avoid planning meals around an appliance that appears only in a different room category.
Decide what you expect to prepare. Coffee and cold breakfast require a different setup from cooking dinner. Consider whether collecting groceries fits the arrival day and whether you want that errand at all. A kitchen is useful when it serves your plan; it need not win the room comparison by default.
Treat the tower and the route as a pair
Record the named building or tower attached to the rate, the check-in location and the entrance you intend to use. Review the area guide and venue planning guide together. For an event-led stay, check the event’s actual entry instructions before deciding that a hotel suits the trip.
Do not turn a building’s position on a map into a promised room-to-seat journey. Add your own time for leaving the room, getting through the property and reaching the required entrance. If the return trip is the reason for choosing the hotel, plan it before paying for the room.
Finish with one explicit compromise
Use the comparison page to narrow the shortlist, then write one sentence stating the tradeoff you accept. It might be paying for separate sleeping space or choosing a simpler room to favor the event route. Save the selected category name and included features with the confirmation. Leave view, floor and connecting-room requests separate unless the booked terms explicitly guarantee them.
